Free access call back

First you must register your mobile phone with us. To do this enter your mobile number on the Manage Registered Phones page. Once you've registered and, so long as your account is in credit, you can start making calls.

To make a call, dial Voipfone's Free Access number, 020 7099 0808 (or 0044 20 7099 0808 if you are outside the UK). You will hear an engaged tone but if you hold for a second or two or just hang up, your mobile will ring. When you answer this call as you normally would, you have a dial tone. Just dial the number you want to call and you'll be connected as usual. DO NOT press the send button on your mobile phone!

Making cheap calls to mobiles

First you must register your mobile phone(s) with us. This is free. (Not required for the 0800 service). To do this enter your mobile number(s) on the Manage Registered Phones page.

Once registered, you can call or SMS (text) our special access numbers to connect to any telephone, fixed or mobile, anywhere in the world and you will only be charged at our standard low prices.

Because the call to our access numbers are either free (Call Me Back) or included in the price you already pay for your mobile rental (Call Link) they cost much less than normal.

SMS call back

First you must register your mobile phone with us. To do this, go to the Manage Registered Phones page. Once you've registered and, so long as you've account is in credit, you can start making calls.

To make the call you need to create a text message that looks like this:

call space
[the number you want to call] space
[your voipfone account number] space
[your voipfone password]

So when you're done it will look something like this:

call 02070435555 30099999 999999

Please note: The word 'call' must be all in lower case.

You then send the message to 07786200161.

If you are abroad, the number becomes 00447786200161.

After a short time your mobile phone will ring. Simply answer the call and after a couple of seconds you will be connected to the person you want to speak to.

To make this easier, save the message as a template in your phone, then you can make SMS Call Back calls very easily and without having to remember all those numbers.

SMS text messaging

To send a message, go to the View SMS Messages page of your Control Panel, and choose Send SMS Message. You can compose and send a message, view the messages you have sent, and change your mobile phone registration details from the same Mobile Services section.

How Do I Receive SMS to My Online Account?

To receive a message, your sender needs to compose his text in this format:

<Account number> space <your message of less than 150 characters>

So it will look something like this:

30999999 Hi, You can now send really cheap text messages using Voipfone!

Your sender should then send it to the Voipfone virtual mobile number which is:

07786200161 or 00447786200161 from outside the UK.

First you must register your mobile phone(s) with us. This is free. To do this, go to the Manage Registered Phones page and click Add to enter your mobile number.

To Make Your Call

• Dial one of our access numbers: 020 7099 0707 or 028 2178 8118
• You will hear a dial tone
• Now dial the number you want to call and you'll be connected as usual

Do not press the send button (green telephone symbol) after you enter the second number!

Tip: You can save the numbers you wish to dial in your address book so that you can call directly from there as usual. To do this you need to enter a pause between our dedicated access number of 020 7099 0707 and the number you wish do dial. Most mobiles will allow you to do this using + or p between the numbers e.g. 02070990707+02070435555.

When Would I Use It?

This service is used when you want to call a destination not covered by the included minutes of your contract like an international call or to another mobile phone.

You can also make FREE calls to 0800 freephone numbers (most mobile companies charge for this) and cheaper calls to non-standard UK numbers like 0870 and 0845.
